English pronunciation

Hi,

All of us knows that french pronunciation is not easy, that we swallow the half of the word while speaking but this....

If you can pronounce correctly every word in this poem, you will be speaking English better than 90% of the native English speakers in the world.
After trying the verses, a Frenchman said he'd prefer six months of hard labor to reading six lines aloud.

Horrifying!

Dearest creature in creation,
Study English pronunciation.
I will teach you in my verse
Sounds like corpse, corps, horse, and worse.
I will keep you, Suzy, busy,
Make your head with heat grow dizzy.
Tear in eye, your dress will tear.
So shall I! Oh hear my prayer.

We says that English is easy but when we get into the pronunciation it doesn't seem so.

Easter 2015

Hi everyone...

I hope you are well and in good health. A quick note about these holidays.

This time I just would like to remind to myself and to others that Easter and others christmas days are not only dedicate to decorations, gifts and food.

Without atmosphere that we create and other people do, and spirit, it does not mean anything.

Eclipse reminder!

Hello everybody!

I remind you gently that today at 9:40 am (so 20 minutes left! ), more or less - (depending from latitude ) we are going to observe the partial eclipse of the sun! It will last about 2 hours... so quite long, maybe everyone will find a minute to do the break and go out?

For curiosity of some of you, the total eclipse is extremely rare. Last time it was seen in Poland in June 30, in 1954 and another such opportunity would appear in July 2075!

The next partial eclipse of the sun we will observe until  in 2026!

Thus, as you can see this phenomenon is exceptional and rare so if you won't miss it out, follow the news, go out of the house and look up in thy sky!

Hello,
I want announce everybody that the 20th of March we will have the partial eclipse of the sun (last time it was 4 years ago and the next will be in 6 years), and we will have the opportunity to observe it in Poland, and in Bydgoszcz too, which is not often phenomena for polish latitude.

Don't worry, I will remind you about this occurrence few days before.

Anyway, Bydgoszcz City will organize common observation of the eclipse on Wyspa Młyńska (in the old town) at 9:40 am (more or less).  As you know it's impossible to observe it without glasses or some kind of filter, so for those who want to participate in it, you can prepare yourself to watch it very easily: looking by X-ray photo, or by especially prepared glasses to watch the eclipse,by photographic filter, or my dear by welding mask, if you have one ;D

Any others usfull gadgets to observe?

Cold and long evenings are almost finished but
as you have observed the spring is coming (slowly, but it is coming!) so awaiting for higher temperatures and better weather I recommend you to do some quizzes which are in English and could be nice exercise to practice.


Quizzes are divided into topics and they don't last long so you can sacrifice a couple of minutes to play.

Hello,
Today something for people who have sleeping or stomach problems. For those of you I recommend the chamomile with its soothing properties:
